Bruce Campbell hat Fangoria Radio in einem Interview mitgeteilt, dass er offiziell aus dem 'Bubba Nosferatu' Projekt ausgeschieden ist. Der Grund? Bruce hat das Script von Don Coscarelli nicht gefallen. 'Bubba Nosferatu' soll der Nachfolger zu 'Bubba Ho-Tep' werden, in dem Campbell als Elvis auf Mumienjagd geht.

Ob Coscarelli die Rolle von Elvis streicht und das Script umschreibt, oder ob die Rolle einfach anders besetzt wird, wurde nicht bekannt. Hier der O-Ton von Campbell:

'Bubba Nosferatu' is dead to me. It sleeps with the fishes. Don Coscarelli is a very passionate filmmaker. We got to a few points [developing the screenplay] that we couldn’t reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So I’m not part of that project.
