Director talks 'The Mutant Chronicles'

Writer/director Simon Hunter talks about his latest project 'The Mutant Chronicles', based on the RPG boardgame. The movie will star Thomas Jane ('The Punisher'). Pre-production will start this year after Christmas. Hunter shot a teaser for his new project over the last 5 months. Here is what hehad to say about it:

I wanted to get this teaser made to show everyone the style,mood and tone of the film. My aim was is to make a picture that is brutal, real and exciting. Saving Private Ryan with Mutants we all call it. The teaser film shows this and gives us just a hint of the world to come. It has the brutal feel of a Sam Peckinpah movie with a look that is both unique and distinctive. The film will be story based rather than relying on too much spectacle, much in the vein of Pitch Black or the first Terminator.

Everyone has been blown away by the film. We shot it for a very modest sum of about £30,000 using the very latest in digital technology. I hope to post it online soon.
