Yupp, you heard us right. The Easter Bunny is out to get you! Writer/director Chad Ferrin ('The Ghouls') will be helming this dark horror flick. Production will begin in January 2006. The cast includes Mary Rings, Casey Powell, Joe Pilato ('Day of the Dead'), Tim Muskatell and Trent Haaga.


Here is what Ferrin had to say about his new project:


'Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! Kill!' has some black humor, but it is defiantly a very serious horror film that deals with child abuse. This time around, I tried to write something more commercial yet stay true to myself. I’m very proud of what I came up with.


[About the story:] A wolf in sheep’s clothing is about to meet an unlikely match when Remington, a murderous grifter, cons his way into a mother’s heart, putting on a fatherly facade for her cherished son, Nicholas. But the second she leaves for work, it’s hookers and hookahs for Remington while his connoisseur-of-kiddie-porn pal sets his sights on the gentle boy. Nicholas seeks refuge from the torrent of abuse by confiding in his new pet bunny. But as Remington orchestrates an orgy of degradation, Nicholas is nowhere to be found. Instead, someone wearing a mask of the playful holiday hopper, the Easter Bunny, crashes the party and executes a blood-splattered night of unspeakable carnage upon those intent on harming Nicholas.
