It's official: 'Phantasm' is coming back



The complete 'Phantasm' franchise will ungergo a complete remake. Yes, you heard me right. Every Movie will be remade (well, the first three for now). Angus Scrimm (Tall Man) and Reggie Bannister will return in their original roles. Don Cascarelli, the writer of the originals, will return as producer. Right now there is no director linked to this project.

There's one other thing though: Bruce Campbell will star in the series (he is confirmed for the second and third part). Now that is good news for all horror fans. - [frank]
