Scott Speedman in 'The Moth Diaries'
'The Moth Diaries' hat nichts mit 'The Mothman Prophecies', dem extrem guten Richard Gere Grusel von 2002, zu tun. 'The Moth Diaries' handelt von einem kleinen Internat in New England, das von einer Reihe brutaler Morde heimgesucht wird, nachdem ein misteriöses Mädchen neu an die Schule kommt.
Regie führt Mary Harron, Regisseurin und Drehbuchautorin von 'American Psycho'. Für die Schauspieler Riege sind bis jetzt Scott Speedman ('Underworld') und Lily Cole ('Rage') bestätigt. Die Dreharbeiten starten noch in diesem Sommer in Kanada.
Das Ganze soll weniger in die Slasherecke, sondern mehr in Richtung Gothic Horror gehen. Die Story basiert auf den Romanen von Rachel Klein. Harron hierzu:This is a chillingly atmospheric horror story with real emotional depth,. I’ve tried to stay true to Rachel Klein’s novel in the way it re-works and updates the Gothic tradition and the whole notion of girl-on-girl Vampires. Lily Cole is a very talented actress and… I’ve long been a fan of Scott Speedman.
